How to Begin a Spiritual Path

In the modern world today, most of us have resigned ourselves to a mundane existence, indulging in endless distractions.

We go through our lives with minimal faith and avoid understanding the emptiness of our lives. But we’re often reminded by the shallowness of our relationships, our own emotional issues, or feelings of inescapable loneliness.

Underlying these feelings however, there’s much more to us as human beings than what we think we know.

We carry the most magnificent and mysterious qualities within us imaginable.  We’re capable of discovering our true calling and personal destiny.

How to Begin a Spiritual Path

It’s easy for us to feel meaningless when we perceive ourselves as mere spokes in society’s wheel. But the truth is that we’re all much more than that. We’re each capable of creating deep meaningful, mystical, and fulfilling lives.

For many centuries, indigenous people around the globe have known that to explore the depths of the soul and reunite with spirit, we must go on a spiritual journey within ourselves.

In many ancient cultures, people had elders or shamans to encourage and oversee these journeys toward a deeper spiritual existence.

Unfortunately, these days in our own culture, we’ve lost many of those sacred rites and rituals. A lot of today’s modern religion has ignored living spiritually, often dismissing and forbidding personal seeking and union with the divine universe.

Simple Ways to Boost Your Spiritual Health:

  • Volunteer or help others.
  • Spend time in nature.
  • Meditate.
  • Speak with a spiritual mentor.
  • Connect with your faith community.
  • Practice yoga.
  • Keep a journal.
  • Focus on your hobbies.

How do I Know What My Spiritual Gifts Are?

  • Pray for help to recognize your gifts.
  • Think about the people you look up to.
  • Look for gifts in adversity.
  • Ask others to let you know. Sometimes we can’t see in ourselves what others can see.
  • Look outside of yourself.
  • Reflect on your own family.
  • Don’t be afraid to leave your comfort zone.
  • Search out the word of God.

Final Thoughts:

There’s a reason why we all have something called intuition. The answers we seek are often within us, and it’s our right to take what resonates and leave the rest alone.

Thank you so much for reading this, have a great day.
